Of Martha, Blogging, and NYC

It’s an exciting day for me! I’m on my way to New York City for my first blogging-related trip. On Thursday, Martha Stewart is having a show that’s all about blogging, and I’m one of the many bloggers who was approved to blog right from the audience during the taping of the show!

It’s a fun trip for me, as I’ll get to meet many other bloggers and hang out (sans kids) in NYC! So check your local listings and you just might see yours truly in the audience, tapping away on her iPhone! I’m sure I’ll have more updates tomorrow and when I get home. In the meantime, I plan to do a nice hotel room workout tonight to help stay on track.

For many years, I was a typical American working mom, relying on takeout to get me through the busy evenings, and thinking about exercise but too exhausted to find the time. I ballooned from a size six to nearly a size 10 in under a year. I was fat, and I decided I was fed up. My transformation from then to now inspired friends and encouraged me to start this blog.
