As I flit around the internet, I often find myself moved or inspired by posts or articles I find. Most of the time, I tweet about them on my twitter feed, and there it ends. But for you, my blog readers, you may not always see those tweets or have a chance to read those articles. And every now and then (like now), I get my act together enough to actually put together a “round-up” post to share some of those amazing and inspiring articles I’ve found. This week, I found one post that moved me so much that I just HAD to share it with you... Read More

Ultimate Blog Party 2010
The 2010 Ultimate Blog Party just kicked off, and I’m joining in the fray! Since my blog was brand new at this time last year, this is my first time participating. So since the UBP is new to me, it’s likely new to most of my regular readers. Let me explain:.. Read More
I can’t believe it’s been a year!
Just over a year ago, I wasn’t yet a blogger. I was going through a Turbulence Training Transformation Contest, and tweeting about my meals and workouts. I was posting a lot in the forums on dailyburn.com, trying to help answer the questions of people starting out, just like Susan had helped me when I was beginning my journey... Read More
My Haiti donation

I didn’t want to leave my readers hanging! This is a relatively small blog, and I appreciate all of the readers who have engaged in the past few weeks, leaving comments, subscribing to my email list, becoming facebook fans, and buying products for which I am an affiliate. So THANK YOU for your help!.. Read More
Help LGM Support Haiti Relief
As you can well imagine, I’ve been shocked and dismayed by the horrific devastation caused by the recent earthquake in Haiti. Many of my blogger friends have started fundraising drives and making donations to various charities. In the past, my family and I have always contributed something to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund when there has been a major natural disaster. However, I just got some news today. I’m not allowed to name the company where I work in my blog, but we were told that our company will be matching, dollar for dollar, all donations made to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to help with Haiti relief efforts... My Day at Martha Stewart’s Show
As you know from my post Of Martha, Blogging, and NYC, I traveled up to New York City earlier this week to be in the studio audience for the taping of The Martha Stewart Show along with a number of other bloggers (many of them from right here in the Philly area). The show’s theme was blogging, and we were all supposed to be blogging live from the audience. I actually decided against bringing my laptop, as I’m simply too verbose to write the kind of post I’d like to write from my iPhone in just an hour (along with many mandatory clapping breaks), so I hope you don’t mind that it’s taken me a day to regroup and get this post up. I really want to share my experiences going to New York, seeing Martha live, and spending a day away from my home and normal routine. Of course, I’ll share tidbits of how I tried to stay healthy along the way! (And even for me, this post is pretty lengthy…epic even!).. Read More
Of Martha, Blogging, and NYC
It’s an exciting day for me! I’m on my way to New York City for my first blogging-related trip. On Thursday, Martha Stewart is having a show that’s all about blogging, and I’m one of the many bloggers who was approved to blog right from the audience during the taping of the show!.. Read More
I’m giving away free workouts!
My friend Kelly is celebrating the one-year “blogiversary” over at The Centsible Life, a site where she blogs about frugal finances, family living, and paying down your debt. She has over $600 in prizes you can win, including a prize I’ve sponsored – your choice of one of three fat-blasting Turbulence Training workouts, valued at $9.95... Read More
